The forbidden love story in Zagreb, 1991. where the love of a local boy and an exile girl will inflame the ingrained hate of their communities. It's early autumn, 1991., six months into the armed conflict between Serbia and Croatia as part of the Yugoslav war. Because Zagreb is still a no-fire zone, there's a constant influx of exiles from other, war-torn parts of Croatia to Zagreb's hotels and buildings turned into „Homes for Exiles“. One of these „Homes“ is located in Folka. FOLKA is a working class neighbourhood known for it's ethnic, religious and cultural diversity and the ongoing war has turned it into a „ticking time-bomb“, ready to blow.
