SIGRIT, a 10-year-old small town girl, and her younger sister INGRID spend their summer days getting into all kinds of mischief involving lots of swearing, silly games, grief, and inevitable growth. While their young mother KRISTIN works all day, the adult left in charge is SLAVA, the girls' free-spirited punk stepfather, who has his own understanding of what it means to be an adult. When the shiny new bike given to Sigrit as her 10th birthday gift gets stolen, an eventful week follows, revealing a morally ambivalent world where an unfairly heavy burden is placed on the shoulders of a little kid. During the week, boundaries between what is allowed and what is not are tested and, while imitating adulthood, a touch of childish innocence is lost.
