KALAŠ, a war veteran and widower, owns a Western horse ranch in the suburban settlement of Krasno. Suffering from PTSD, he refuses conventional treatment, finding solace only in whiskey and his horses, which he sees as his only true therapy. Despite being fundamentally honest, his impulsive and volatile nature earns him both fear and respect in the community. He's constantly haunted by nightmares. One morning, after waking from yet another disturbing dream, he discovers that his partner ANA has left without a word.
